Summer is winding down, the kids are back in school, the HF contest season is right around the corner, and its been a good summer of VHF fun that started with the ARRL June VHF contest and CQWW VHF. With the exception of the Fall Sprints, this coming weekend marks the end of the VHF+ contesting season with the 2nd weekend of the ARRL's 10 GHz & Up contest. Weather permitting, we will have a group active from Buck Hill, EN34ir, along with a rover pack traveling south central Iowa. There will also be several fixed stations around, and a small group of rovers over in SW Wisconsin on Sunday. This is your last chance to get out and to play on 10 gigs, so come out and visit the group on Buck Hill (and bring your 10gig system if you have one). Come out for part of a day, or for both days. Activity, weather permitting, should be from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm or so on both days, Sept 18 & 19. In the cities, check 146.46 FM.
73, Jon
