Hello NLRS Land
The Expanded Results write-up for the 2010 August UHF contest is on the Leagues website. Many thanks to John, K9JK, for an excellent write-up. After the major effort in NLRS land in 2009 its not surprising that local results was down in 2010. Nationally there were 222 logs generated by slightly more fixed stations (181 vs 177) but definitely fewer rovers (41 vs 67) compared to 2009.
Congratulations to the NLRS which finished in 2nd place out of 13 clubs in the Medium category with 469,380 points from 15 logs. Club members who submitted a score were K0AWU, K0SIX, KC0P/R, KM0T, N0AKC, N0HZO/R, W0GHZ, W0GHZ/R, W0OHU, W0UC, W0ZQ, W0ZQ/R, WA0VPJ, WA2VOI/R, and WB0LJC/R. First place in the Medium Club competition went to the lunch-box, rover-pack, grid-circling, group out of California with 11 logs totaling 3,566,940 points.
Within the club, notable national finishes include W0UC for 7th SOLP and KM0T for 1st SOHP (for the 6th year in a row). Nice job guys.
August 2011 is not too far away and we have a goal in mind of 250 logs (and oh ya, to have some fun too). Mark August 6 & 7, 2011 on your calendars for Rovermania VIII. Anyone want to organize another W0AUS operation as 2009 was a hoot.
73, Jon
W0ZQ
