Before sending the weekly long-range net reminders, I want
to specifically congratulate Bill on working NV for #50 on 2m.
I can't imagine the time you've put into that, Bill. Well done.

W0ZQ said something about a county hunters net.
Want everyone in NLRS to be aware of a VHF/UHF county
hunting program that started on Jan. 1, 2010. All of you are
welcome to participate and kindly asked to spread the word.

     I'm talking about www.wivuch.com. It's the WI VHF/
UHF County Hunters. New program started up by me, to
specifically increase V/UHF activity levels, to find new ops
in different areas, to promote more rover and hilltopping
activity.
The initial endorsement levels for a certificate are set
fairly low because I want to send out a lot of wallpaper.
Lots of wallpaper will mean lots of activity.
W9FZ has helped a great deal with getting this website
setup, and we still have minor revisions to make. But the
program *IS* underway, and I hope many of you will get an
award. In the meantime, visit the website and start setting
your goals.

How often have you heard someone say on the air,
"Oh, I don't need him -- I already worked that grid."
Well if you break V/U contacts down to the county level,
now you might not tune away so quickly.

     73,
