I know 80-90% of you are only interested in contests and
big band openings. I get this mentality because prior to my
getting busy promoting V/UHF in 2008, I felt the same way.
All the same, this email promotion in many directions does
pay off over time. For those of you who have also helped
get new ones on the air, thanks!
You already know every Tuesday evening is 222 Tuesday.
General activity night for everyone/everywhere on 1.25/1.35m
band.
What you may NOT know is that ON4KST has now
graciously created a VHF/UHF chat for those in IARU Region
2 (USA/VE). No more QRM from the European ops -- we
have a Room of our Own.
We'll be in there enjoying ourselves tonight and tomorrow
night with the long-range nets on 144 from WI. The new chat
already has 170+ signups, and more are joining every day.
Pay a visit soon and see what's going on. Instructions for
signing up are at http://kc9bqa.com/?p=2208 This chat is for
all USA/VE hams on VHF/UHF. It's the same chat that 100's
of 6m ops have been using for years.
Warmer weather means better conditions and more activity.
Time to get motivated, ahead of the Spring V/UHF Sprints which
start April 12th.
