Heh, heh, I have plans (going on 20 years now) for a full family
of beacons over here in Hillsboro.  :-)

But the main point I wanted to make is housing beacons at the home
of an active VHF'er is actually a BIG negative for the active
VHF'er.  Twenty-plus miles away let's the active VHF'er enjoy the
band from home without having to shut the beacons down during
operating periods.

Sure, service to the ham community is one thing.  But what we need
MOST is active operators who enjoy this hobby by actually getting
on the air.  We don't want to lose you.

Maybe we can help best by getting WA9HCZ/b back on the air and
WD9BGA/b back on the air.  Let's make those exploratory emails and
phone calls to learn what we can do to help.
