Note:: EN15 beacon "normal" and EN09 beacon (144.281) being seen on Spectran from time to time on a very challenging path at 311miles this morning.

Yes Dave, having a beacon there most of the time is better than never. My own personal habit is to check all "in range beacons" several times a day. First thing in the AM and last thing at night. (Best times for enhanced conditions)

My personal bias would be 222 then 2m. This is based upon the hope that the HCZ beacon will soon return and be reliable as it was in the past.

Stations that have SDR based IFs can watch an entire beacon spectrum and watch the various paths come and go. With a non-directional rec antenna it is real "cool". Here on 2m, it is a freq at a time and the yagi due to distances and operational habits.

SO ... I would say if you have an interest in beacon/s operating when you are QRT, go for it!!
