Just sent this to the VHF reflector (w6yx at stanford.edu) --
I apologize to those of you who receive this message twice.
My intent isn't to spam; it's to ensure a maximum number of
222 stations know about 222 Tuesdays. Help spread the word.

Friendly reminder that tonight is 222 Tuesday.
It's a general activity night for all USA/VE 222 ops.
No single focus, no net control. Get on, call CQ in multiple
directions. Check out propagation; use the band allocation.

This is not a hard and fast rule, but most guys seem to
get on toward dark. With days getting shorter, expect 222
Tuesdays to become more active.

Consider posting your activity to the 222 Prop Logger
http://dxworld.com/220prop.html or log in to the real-time
VHF/UHF chat at on4kst.com. Use the IARU Region 2
room for 144-432 MHz. By making your activity more
visible, you help encourage others to get involved or add
222 to their weak-signal VHF/UHF station.

If you are unfamiliar with 222 Tuesdays, I'll have a more
detailed post up at kc9bqa.com sometime later this morning.

IF YOU WANT TO PERK UP 222 TUESDAY, consider
doing this: Take your rover setup out to a more difficult grid.
Find that high spot and see who all you can work. Remember
to advertise your plan ahead of time, so others will know to
look for you. Also consider taking along someone who is
interested in roving. The ARRL Sept. VHF QSO Party is
Sept 11-12th, so now is a good time to get someone
interested in roving for September.
