If you believe this map http://www.dxinfocentre.com/tropo.html
signals may be strong tonight. WB9LYH in EN54, middle of WI
takes the 144.240 long-range net at 8pm. He starts out looking
NE toward the U.P. of MI, and then goes clockwise, calling CQ
often and taking check-ins along the way. He won't be looking
west until at least 8:30-45 (and possibly later with a busy net) so
feel free to do the look around thing before then. (Avoid 144.240)
We also encourage check-ins to look around and create their
own activity on 144.230 and lower. So if a net doesn't interest
you, be aware of other opportunities. The idea is to make Wed.
nights a very active one on 2m SSB across many states. More
activity = more fun.
You can always check kc9bqa.com for latest updates, or log
into the real-time VHF/UHF chat at on4kst.com. Several dozen
VHF'ers from multiple states use that chat on Wed's to instantly
keep up with the net. It's free, no BS, and no obligation. It's
also available 24/7/365. Once you're registered, choose the
IARU Region 2 room for 144-432 MHz.

PS: Some of you may remember that last week, K0HL in
DN86, western ND got on 144.230 early, looking for activity.
Well he found some! Now he's eager to improve antennas,
and scout out new grids to operate from.
We are *ALWAYS* looking for more activity from KS,
NE, SD, ND plus W and N MN. Please spread the word, and
get ready for the ARRL Sep. VHF Contest on the 11th and 12th.
MidwestMania! will again take place. If you missed it in 2009,
