[NLRS] Wesslund Award - A call for nominations

Hello NLRS Land.

It is with honor that  I  announce that nominations are now open for this 
years recipient of  the NLRS  Wesslund Award.  Nominations must be made in 
written  form (email, snail  mail, direct copy, etc) and given to one of 
your  
NLRS club officers (W0ZQ, N0UK,  KC0IYT).  The award will be  presented at 
Aurora'10 during the afternoon  business meeting.   Current club officers 
are 
excluded.  The award  committee,  comprised of the three club officers, 
past 
president, and membership   representation, shall review all written 
nominations 
and make the final  selection.

The Wesslund Award state: "The Wesslund Award honors  Robert  (Bob) 
Wesslund, W0AUS, for his many years of significant  contributions to the  
Northern 
Lights Radio Society and for his  continuous work with mentoring others  in 
the 
World above 50 MHz.   This award is presented annually to recognize  those 
NLRS members who  has assisted others in gaining knowledge and access to  
the 
bands above  50 MHz."

Past winners are Bob Wesslund, W0AUS (2004),  Donn Baker,  WA2VOI (2005), 
Jon Lieberg, K0FQA (2006), Gary Mohrlant (2007), Rich   Westerberg, N0HJZ 
(2008), and Bill Davis, K0AWU (2009).

Written   nominations should be short but should exemplify those attributes 
 
outlined  above.  Please give this award some thought and submit  your 
nomination(s)  before May 2.
