[NLRS] Shoosh! Midwest Mania! is history and was a blast.

Out of curiosity, what is the average distance for microwave QSO's in
Midwest Mania?

I didn't hear too many people up your way in the contest and no one except
W0UC seemed to be able to hear my 10 watts when I called. I did point in
that direction and called CQ on CW quite a bit on 2m, usually a couple kHz
above or below 144.200.

Perched on the hill in EN50rl, the closest person I worked on any band other
than 144 MHz was about 100 miles away. I had more microwave activity in this
contest than I've had in any other than the 10 GHz contest. Saturday night
the tropo was exellent in my area. The K3SIW beacons on 2304 and 3456 were
both pinning my s-meter. I've never heard them so loud down here. Microwave
QSO's were quite easy then. I heard quite a few stations far to the east on
2m but didn't manage to work any of them. Again, QRP has its disadvantages.
I guess I need to make up for that with bigger antennas!

Sunday was blah. Flat conditions and no significant enhancement after sunset
here. Oh well.
