Hi Guys
First GeoCities "went away last week and as a result my webpage no longer lives there. If you have links, bookmarks etc to my webpages, be aware that the new address is http://www.qth.net/k0awu/ Kinda a bummer, but Scott's hosting has been VERY GOOD. There is a link on my home page to the K0AWU SDR pages as well.

New Station Configuration
September and October left a great deal to be desired here. I decided at the end of Aug to redo the VHF/UHF/Microwave IF system here. I ordered a Elecraft K3 and built it up the Thursday before the Sept 10Ghz and Above contest. Then Monday following the contest I came down with the flu of some kind. It was three weeks before I could get my feet under me again. Pat and I then had a trip to Missouri for 10 days. It was a good trip and marked the beginning of my recovery. I am doing at long last about "normal" again.
Yesterday I at last completed the station rebuild. A new RF switching and sequencer routing system was built and allows changing beween 50, 222, 902, 1296 and 10Ghz by just changing bands on the K3. This is a convenience many of you have had for years in your rovers and home stations. Bands had been added here one at a time and the station had gotten pretty cobbled up.
I am using a SoftRock Lite III on the K3 IF for a panadapter. The SR Lite III is a yet to be introduced SoftRock model. It uses a "one time only" programmable Silicon Labs VCXO (at the factory). So far it looks good.
I have ran the bands a couple of times with Chris N0JCF and Gary W0GHZ but the bands were horrid, so not much to report on other than we have worked stations with weak signals.
Thanks to Dave N0KP for helping me out on a much needed BNC coax relay for IF switching between 28 and 144 mhz.
A bit early, but Pat and I wish you all Happy Holidays and Good DX. Hope to hear and see you one the bands.
