To NLRS land:  Wesslund Award - 2009

This years Wesslund Award  winner is a long time contributor to the VHF/UHF 
and microwave weak signal world  with over 50 years of on-the-air 
experience. He has been very active on 6, 2,  222, 432, 902, 1296 and 10 GHz and has 
259 grids and 48 states confirmed on 2m.  Through the years he has assists 
others in learning about The World Above by  maintaining an excellent website 
that contains not only technical knowledge but  working examples of his 
various contacts and QSOs. He has been one of our NLRS  pioneers experimenting 
with Software Defined Radio, has made several  presentations at Aurora and 
Microwave Update on this subject, and has been a  significant contributor to 
our clubs success from the frozen and propagationally  challenged tundra of 
northern Minnesota. Many of us know this years Wesslund  Award winner as Mr. 
EN37ed, others know him as Bill Davis, K0AWU.
