Hmm...  just as we are celebrating the demise of analog TV broadcasts
these might start showing up in your neighbor's houses,

It'll be real interesting to learn how they are putting that much
bandwidth onto the power line and at what power level and spectrum
footprint.

These devices are outside the HomePlug 1.0 standard (although they claim
compatibility) which is a 200 Mbps solution.  So, they are doing something
louder and/or wider in order to deliver 1 Gbps over the same media.
