[NLRS] CW training (for FD or whatever)

Gee, I'm going nutty on posting tonight :-) .

I recently downloaded two CW trainers to try and get ready for FD.
(I'm a 15-20 wpm kinda guy and FD tends to go 30+)

http://www.rufzxp.net/
has a program called RUFZ it pitches you callsigns from all around
the world. Sure, in FD, it will be easier, but the international
callsigns push you for better copying--particularly the goofy
formatted ones like 5R4QT.

And Morse Runner, available on the left side of the page at:
http://www.dxatlas.com/MorseRunner/
is similar in that it pitches callsigns from all over the world.
But it's amazing that it can pitch two signals at you at the same
time just like a real pile up. And in addition to copying the
callsign correctly, you have to get your serial number correct.

Both programs tend to bump up their speed if you copy successfully
and slow down if you keep getting them wrong. The Morse Runner
keeps calling you till you reply. The RUFZ program only lets you
get one repeat (F6) before you have to enter the callsign.

There is a computer program from the UK that has a Field Day
training mode where it uses US callsigns and FD exchanges--but it
costs money :-) .

So, if you are going to help at the CW station at FD this weekend,
give these a try to warm up.
