RMG members and contest participants. You’re encouraged to submit your log
NO MATTER WHAT YOUR SCORE!
We need more than 6 logs submitted to top last January for RMG. You MUST
spell out “Roadrunners Microwave Group” (not just RMG) within your log for
it be counted in the RMG total!

Note that hand-written paper logs mailed to January VHF, ARRL, 225 Main St,
Newington, CT 06111.

Here are the steps to sending in an electronic log (complements of Jon
W0ZQ):

1.  Go to the ARRL website at http://www.arrl.org/

2.  On the yellow highlight bar near the top click on "Operating
Activities".

3.  Then click on "Contests"

4.  Then click on "Log Submissions"

5.  A short description will show up that explains how to do this. Near the
top of the first paragraph click on the blue underlined text that says
"appropriate e-mail address".

6.  A list of the various ARRL email address for all their contests should
pop up. For the January VHF contest click on "JanuaryVHF at arrl.org" that
appears in blue. When you click on that, your email tool should pop up with
that email address all ready for you. Within that email add JUST your call
to the "Subject" line. For example, I would enter just "K0MHC/R" to the
subject line and that is all. Then attach your Cabrillo log to the email, do
not paste it in, attach it. Then you’re ready, just hit the send key! Make
sure that rover stations are indicated with a /R after their call sign
(e.g., K0MHC/R) in order to pass the automatic QSO checker.

7. Accuracy is important or points will be deducted from your submitted
score for errors (I know this from first hand experience)!

8. You should get a reply back from the ARRL robot. Read the response from
the robot carefully as it will tell you if it had any problems and if so, if
any of those problems are fatal and need to be fixed. You can update, and/or
fix, your contest log and resend it and it will write-over your previous
copy.

9. You’re also encouraged (not mandatory) to post your story (and pictures
if any) onto the ARRL “soapbox” to share experiences with others. Just go
here: http://www.arrl.org/members-only/contests/ and select soapbox for the
appropriate contest (once it’s listed on this web page).

Entries must be emailed or postmarked no later than 0359 UTC  Wednesday,
February 18, 2009.

Entries may be submitted using the web applet at www.b4h.net/cabforms if you
didn’t use your own logging program.
