Hello NLRS land.
The March QST contains the results of the ARRL's 2008 10 GHz & Up Contest.
As of this Saturday morning their contest website has not been updated, but
when it is there will be an expanded write-up there.
Although there is no club competition in this fun event, congratulations
still goes to the NLRS who populated the top 11 spots in the 10GHz Only category
as follows: WB0LJC, W0ZQ, W9FZ, WA2VOI, KC0P, W0JT, N0KP, KD0JI, KC0IYT,
WB0VHF, and W0GHZ. Gary, WB0LJC, aced out your author by the smallest of
margins .... 461 points .... I am debating if I should request a recount as I
think I found some unopened ballots and there are serious concerns about rounding
errors that only lawyers can determine. Other "10 GHz Only" logs included
KM0T (18), K0KFC (21), K0AWU (31), W0PHD (38), K0HAC (42), N0UK (43), N0AKC
(44), and NT0V (52).
Looking at the total number of QSOs, the order was close to the same -
WB0LJC (383), W0ZQ (379), W9FZ (376), WA2VOI (371), KC0P (300), W0JT (285), N0KP
(273), KD0JI (267), and KC0IYT (266) as 1st through 9th. Congratulations to
WB0LJC for a first place finish in the "most QSOs" category.
In terms of the number of unique stations, the W6 guys took the top 21 spots
with 56 down to 27 unique stations. The highest NLRS finishers were WB0LJC,
W0ZQ, and W9FZ with 25, W0GHZ with 24, and W0JT, WB0VHF, and K0KFC with 23.
This year we did not place any NLRS stations in the "And Up" category.
Perhaps this is something we should change for next year.
Enjoy the article.
73, Jon
W0ZQ
