I think folks should consider LOTW. You save a ton of money on postage
and more and more stations are getting on. Right now the ARRL has the DXCC
and WAS awards onboard with LOTW. I would hope VUCC gets on their in the
next few years. Think of all the postage saved on getting cards for VUCC.

If anyone has questions about getting set up on LOTW, drop me a note.

I know, LOTW is not in some of your futures--life's too
short :-) . Well, it's extra tough for a rover to
participate--but I did it anyway. Since late 06, I've
submitted all my VHF and UHF logs via LOTW.

So far 3176 QSO's with 262 QSL'd via LOTW so far (8.2%).

The August UHF contest yielded 8 QSL matches--4 with K0AWU
and 4 with N9AKR.

In the universe of 3176 QSO's:

312 with K2DRH (10%) obviously he's not in LOTW :-)
233 with W9GA
161 with KC9BQA
216 with K2YAZ
72 with K9NS
120 with W0ZQ and W0ZQ/R combined
98 with WA9O and WA9O/R combined

The six meter match-ups are probably the most interesting.
Well, my Q's are there if ARRL ever does anything VHF
oriented with LOTW.

Ya know, in the early days of my roving, I used to get a lot
of QSL's that fixed stations used for their VUCC awards.
That has REALLY fallen off in the past few years. Either I
keep working the same stations that already have all these
grids or newer operators really aren't collecting for
VUCC's.

Please know that I GLADLY QSL all my rover contacts. Sure,
I'm a little slow sometimes but I've got cards ready to fill
out. Just let me know via email which ones you need QSL'd.
