Thanks to the SEVERAL stations that I worked from all 4 of the Grids I
visited, I ended up with 47 TOTAL QSOs which sounds not "too far"
behind Todd but HE had to work 52 DIFFERENT stations. Stations I swept
with were: KC9BQA, N9NDP, N9TF, W9RM, WO9S (20 of my 47 QSOs). Also,
while not a dedicated "dance", I show 13 QSOs of 16 possible with
WB8BZK who was also out roving near the same Grid Intersection. I ALSO
managed to work fellow rovers N9IFG and WB9TFH...though just once
each. Nice to have some other rovers out in the area besides Mike and
me.
The ONLY station significantly to the east that I worked was K8TQK. I
also worked KI7K (but just once) and HEARD CW from K0CJ and K0MHC
while I was at EN62ad and tried calling back on SSB since I didn't
have my key with me (since I ran 'late' in my setting up) but no
'luck' there. For a 450+ mile path (EN62ad to EN26ha), Jim was QUITE
copiable, I *HAD* the full exchange from him...in hindsight, I *wish*
I'd had my key with me.
I'll do some more counting in the morning and see how this totals up
with SVHFS's 'revised' rover scoring methodology for the Fall Sprints.
So, besides Todd...is anyone else going to be on for next week's 222
Sprint, Tuesday, 9/30/08? I know Mike (WB8BZK) will not be roving so
it may be a relatively 'silent' night.
73, JK
