Hello all,
Hope everyone's making their contest plans for this weekend.
KC9BQA will be on all of Saturday, and also Sunday morning.
6 meters thru 2304 with good height and antennas on all bands.
We've heard of some new contest plans via the BC reflector
today, and now is the time to post YOUR plans. The more
plans that get posted to these reflectors, the more activity you
get in return.
The regular Wednesday SSB nets are ON tonight.
144.240 starts at 8pm, and I only look west thru north. The
purpose is to stir up activity in W and N Wis., as well as adjacent
parts of IA, MN and the U.P. of MI.
144.250 at 8:30pm, starts the Badger Contesters net. Start out
looking south, then swing the beams a full 360, going SW, W, NW,
etc. Usually get back to south about 8:45-50 and then we let
everyone have a chance to say hello to the net.
I will have a separate email for SMC and BC regarding a new
FM net I'm running on 146.49 (vertical pol.) every Thursday at
8:30pm. That will go out shortly.
Trying to increase FM activity in the contests and sprints.
Besides the ARRL VHF QSO party this weekend, there's also a
2 meter sprint on Monday, Sept. 22nd, from 7-11pm. That's a
great time to get on the air, as well.

50 thru 2304
