   Hello,

While eastern WI sure could use those rainy remnants of
Gustav, they won't get here tonight. So the nets are ON.

144.240 starts at 8:00, and I only look west thru north,
from my QTH, EN63ao. The purpose of this is to stir up
activity in W and N WI, as well as adjacent portions of
IA, MN and the U.P. of MI.

At 8:30, I QSY to 144.250 and look south to start the
Badger Contesters net. After taking the initial batch of
check-ins, I then swing the beams a full 360, looking SW,
then W, NW, N, etc. I typically get back to south about
8:45-8:50 and then we start the net.

BIG Reminder -- ARRL Sept. VHF QSO party is only
10 days away. Starts 1pm central on Sat., Sept. 13th and
runs thru 10pm on Sun., Sept. 14th. Here's the rules:
  http://www.arrl.org/contests/rules/2008/sepvhf.html

I'm going to be hitting this one hard, and I hope everyone
else will be too. It really does motivate people to get on, if
others start sharing their contest plans.

Any rovers heading out?? Last September had *great*
rover activity, all across the Upper Midwest.

These are contest lists that I post to. So let's talk about
the upcoming contest. :)

Also, there's more contesting to enjoy later in Sept. and
October. The SEVHFS fall sprints. The first one is on 144,
on Sept. 22nd, from 7-11pm. I'll post more info about
those soon.
