As many of you know, the 2008 Microwave Update Conference is being held in Bloomington, MN on October 17th and 18th.
This is the premier conference for Amateur microwave activty (902 MHz and up) in North America. This conference has
never been hosted in or near the Twin Cities before. Presenters and attendees come, literally, from all parts of the
globe for this conference.
"Pre-registration" is $40, and must be done with monies RECEIVED by close of business on Monday 15 September. (That's
only a week and a half !!) After that, Registration, including walk-ins, is $50. ALSO, there is a limit to the number
of Saturday night Banquet tickets. When they're gone, they're gone ! Early registration ensures you a seat.
Barry, VE4MA and Jon, W0ZQ have done a great job on both the presentations and papers for MUD08. Topics range from
Waveguide Basics to 78GHz amplifiers to optical communicatons to XTAL oscillators and just about everything in between.
It'll be a packed weekend !
Scheduling is such that presentations don't start until 0800 (Friday) or 0830 (Saturday). "Offical" business wraps up
by 9PM each night, although the hospitality suite will be open later (and on Thursday evening also). You could commute
if you live in (or near) the Metro area. For those of you who may not want to commute, the hotel rate is only $82/night
(plus taxes, of course -- the Government has to have their piece).

See you at MUD '08 !
