   Hello,

Had another great night with the new 144.240 net that
runs every Wed. from 8-8:30 (wx permitting). For those
who haven't heard about it yet, I look only west thru
north from 40 miles north of Milwaukee. The idea is to
specifically target W and N WI, along with adjacent
portions of IA, MN and the UP of MI.

Tonight we had 11 total participants, and even some DX.

   We had:
    N0AKC Charlie EN34 Eau Claire 5x7
    N0PB Phil EM39 Holliday, MO 5x9
** Check Phil's net out on 144.250 on Monday
evenings. I believe it starts at 7:30. Phil's got a
BIG signal, and covers a very wide area.**
    W9JN John EN54 Junction City, WI 5x9
    KB9TLV John EN45 Cumberland WI 4x1
    K0AJL Andy EN34 St. Paul 5x1
    K8EB Erv EN73 Marne, MI 5x9
    KA0PQW Matt EN33 Ellendale, MN 5x2
    N0VZJ Vince EN35 Big Lake, MN 4x1
    N0IRS J.D. EM29 Ks. City, MO 5x3
    N9IO Clay EN51 Bonfield, IL 5x5
NCS KC9BQA Todd EN63 Adell, WI

I always wonder if I may have missed a few very
light stations and tonight was no exception. Conditions
were definitely enhanced to the SW and S, because
the MO, IL and MI stations called me off the sides of
my beam.

John W9RPM from La Crosse checked into the
144.250 Badger net and he wants everybody to know
about the Rochester, MN hamfest on Sat., Aug. 9th.
According to John, it's a biggie, and well worth attending.
If John cares to let the various reflectors know more
details, he could provide all the juicy details.

Finally, WE HAVE A CONTEST THIS WEEKEND.
CQ WW VHF, 6 and 2 meter only. Starts at 1pm on
Sat. and runs thru 4pm on Sun. Link to the rules:
http://www.cqww-vhf.com/rules.htm

I will be on a lot for this contest and hope to work all
of you. Make some time for contesting this weekend and
hope for great conditions.

    73,
    Todd KC9BQA EN63ao 40 north of Milwaukee
