My weather radar trends are positive and I think
we'll be able to do things as scheduled. Hope to
hear plenty of ops thru some distant lightning crashes.
144.240 is from 8-8:30 central and geared toward
catching weak ones off to my west thru north. Again,
talking W and N Wis, along with adjacent portions of
IA, MN and U.P. of Mich.
At 8:30, I turn south on 144.250, and start the regular
Badger net. All are welcome, but typically the bulk of
our check-ins are from the Milwaukee/Chicago areas.
I do spin the beams a full 360, though for every 144.250
net.
The purpose of this is to stir up activity throughout the
Upper Midwest/Great Lakes.
If a storm blows up nearby, obviously I pull the coaxes
and others will have to carry on.
