Well where do I start. Three days before the contest every thing was working just fine. So Friday one more check, Oh the 3456 is not receiving, Pull it down off the tower and its still not working. So for a sanity check off to WØGHZ and of course it does receive just fine, Back up the tower it goes and guess what it does work. Zero for me one for Murphy.

Friday night, I had to take my kid to children's hospital and spent the next two days there. Okay Zero to Two.

Lets Get Started its Saturday 1900 Zulu. Okay about an hour into the fun the I.F. radio setup for the 900 MHz and above stop working, Okay swap out the computer setup to the FT-857, That's back up and running. Tnx Jon for the test. Now its Zero to Three.

OH it continues, later that afternoon the rotor on my main tower decides to be something from the Twilight Zone. I tell it to turn right, It turns left and when you want it to stop it keeps going AND it starts up and turns by itself. Do I need to call Ghost Hunters. That another show.

So what to do? Okay lock the tower down towards EN 53, EN 41, 44, 43. Up the tower I go with wrenches, Pipe wrench and Chain Vise grips and lock it towards 130 degrees. Its was zero degrees outside and very windy. Oh oh its Zero to Four.

For the rest of the contest its all Stacked Halo's for the back up antennas on 6, 2, 222 and 432. It was very flustering to hear and not able to work other calls without my big Guns. Oh did I say lots and lots of Mores Code action. Its still a great mode. To rape this up, My station is down on points, But still overcome the pit falls. Okay Murphy it's a upset "I WIN!". Oh the Kid is home.
Last TNX's too the hardy rovers, KCØIYT and W9FZ for being out in temps 15 below plus the winds. 73's Dave NØKP
