[NLRS] 144.240 net *ON* tonight -- 7:30pm

 Hello everyone,

   Good timing for a net tonight, as I'm in between snowstorms
and it's also our last net prior to Christmas.  We are OFF next
week, but I anticipate being ON for Dec. 31st.

    I'll email about the Dec. 31st net later on.  If all you party
animals are going to be out on New Year's Eve, then it won't
make much sense to have a net.  But until I hear otherwise, I'm
inclined to have the net on 12/31.

    So yes, we're starting at 7:30 tonight, with me looking to my
SSW, which for me is down towards Rockford, Peoria and into
the St. Louis area.  I then slowly edge the beams toward my SW,
WSW, W, WNW, etc.  I call "CQ activity net" often and also
indicate where I'm pointing.  I stop at due north, but I haven't
had anyone from northern (esp. northeast) WI or the UP of MI 
in weeks and weeks.  Need to find some guys up that way.  If 
anyone ever has a QSO with N8LIQ Ed, please let him know 
what's up.  He doesn't have email that I know of.  

    I don't look south because I'm deliberately de-emphasizing the
more populated areas of Milwaukee and Chicago.  Really trying
to find the stations out in the sticks here on 144.240.  MKE/CHI
gets their chance with the regular Badger Contesters net on
144.250 at 8:30.

   Let me know if you think you'll be on tonight, it helps me plan
a little bit.  An email before 7pm would do the trick.

   Also, I'm going to devote an early 15 minutes to the growing
La Crosse group.  I'm going to work La Crosse area only from
7:15 - 7:30pm.

    These websites have potential for when our net participants
would like to contact each other, in real-time.  You could easily
arrange skeds or report who you've worked, which will further
increase activity.
