We had 14 check-ins tonight to the net. They were:
WB0MCO -- Dave, EN40 S7
W9HQ -- Dave, EN43 S1
KC0HLN -- Jerry, EN32 S5
WB0NQD -- Richard EM29 S1 then QSB fade-out.
N0IRS -- JD, EM29 S1 then QSB fade-out.
W0FAY -- Bill, EN42 S5-7
KA0PQW -- Matt, EN33 S3-7
WV9S -- Adam, EN43 S2
W9RPM -- John, EN43 S9 -- loud
KC0UOW -- Jeff, EN34 S2
K0MN -- Dick, EN43 S3
W0GHZ -- Gary, EN34 S5
K0KFC -- Jim, EN35 S1, QSB
K0SIX -- Vince, EN35 S5, best in weeks
Just before 8:30, when I have to QSY to do the Badger net
on 144.250, I did hear a strong burst of "K0AWU". And that
was it. So put EN37 down as well. :) KB0CIM and
KC0KVD were also monitoring from EN37. I trust plenty of
you are able to work them, after the net is done. They're in
there just about every week; it's just that EN37 is a tough path
for me.
I'm learning that I definitely do better to my west and
southwest. A high ridge that runs E/W across northern EN53
hurts my shot to EN34/35 and to the northwest. Not saying
those NW grids are impossible, just a bit tougher. I'm still
amazed that EM29 is almost a regular occurrence, especially
during winter conditions.
Every week, I keep hearing new calls to SSB from the
La Crosse area. W9RPM has really gotten the word out
up that way.
I hope each of you are enjoying good activity after the net
is done at 8:30pm. That's the big part -- you guys being
able to work each other. I definitely want to work everyone,
but realistically, it's easier for most of you to work each other.
I'm happy being the instigator. :)
As always, feel free to spread the word. Any questions or
comments, just email.
Until next Wed., 73,
