Apparently my earlier post is still awaiting moderator approval, so here you are again. Plans seem to float well. 1-2 hours per grid starting in EN53 at Blue Mound State park just West of Madison/Verona WI. EN52 , then EN43, followed by EN42...(43/42 near Dodgeville), then both grids via the road to Praire Du Chien and westward down 18 into Iowa until I hit I think it is (EN32) Hwy 63 or 64 (something like that) toward Rochester and St. Charles (EN33/34/43) then via various roads and hwy 93 North thru Arcadia (will sit on the hill there EN44). Sunday if I take a nap for a few hours I will be heading up hwy 53 north EN44/45/46 from Eau Claire to Minong EN46 area, then hwy 77?? West (EN36) to 35 South in WI to get EN35 and EN34/44 again. Still getting about 30 mpg with the 4 yagis on the car. Drive safe everyone and good luck. Off to do some more refined planning via the maps.

Hey All,

I will be in Rove mode this weekend.

Saturday: I will be starting out near Madison/Verona at the Blue Mounds State Park. EN53. From there I will be hitting EN52, EN43, EN42 (Heading toward and into Iowa via Praire Du Chien), EN32, EN33, EN34 (4 Corners at St. Charles) and probably EN43/44 en route to Eau claire via hwy 93 and Arcadia WI.

Nap time midnight til 5am.....possibly not depending on my getting sleep the night before.

Sunday: I plan on EN44/45 up hwy 53N, EN46, EN36, EN35, and depending on time back in EN34/44 en route home in I-94.

No set times really, but I am aiming for about 1-2 hours in each grid, sometimes more depending on activity, and the route from Blue Mounds/Dodgeville into Iowa and subsequently to St. Charles is new territory, so I most likely will fall behind there. heck I may meet up with Bruce somewhere along the way from what I see. Anyhoo, other information on the station is as follows:

  Bands:
   222 FT-736R/Mirage amp -- 150 Watts 10 element ex-dopplar yagi
   432 FT-726R/TE systems -- 100 Watts 2/3 K1FO 25 element yagi
  1296 FT-736R -- 18 Watts 35 EZ M2 yagi

Frequencies: 222.085, 432.085, 1296.085
Will be alternately calling out on 222 and 432 & listening on both freqencies. I will have 2 meters in the car as it is mounted on that stack so I can use that band for liason if need be. Liason possibly 144.185 (if the zip tie holds---haven't fixed it yet)

Also depending on my being awake/alert, I may drive thru the night and do a full 24 hour instead of napping at midnight or so for a few hours.

Hope to hear a lot of you.

I modulate, therefore I am!
               ...73, and all that jazz,
