Thanks guys for the emails in response to the "phone patch" presentation. Thanks to Gary, Jon, Donn and Tom for making it happen. From the response, it seemed to have work just fine.

I know of 5 NLRS fellows that have purchased the 10m SDR. I'm guessing all without the xtal. Be sure that you understand that the crystal required is an overtone crystal. I can provide the specs ... a bit spendy from International Xtal for sure. The Si570 based osc of course is a viable solution with more flexibility and at not too much higher cost. I am waiting here for a bit more settling of the hardware and software before I make the switch, IF I DO for the 2m IF. I like the simplicity of the xtal osc and knowing that the freq is right. For ME, this is particularly important when changing software during a QSO to change from CW to SSB since I alway use Rocky for initial CW beaconing etc. I could avoid that hassle by just using the M0KGK software all the time, but I'm sticking with Rocky.

All of the building info for the kit is on the Yahoo Softrock40 website under the files section. You have to "join" the group before you can get to these files. I can provide more info if needed.

As of the weekend a few of the 10m Ver 6.2 Softrock RxTx were left, but not many.

Thanks again for the kind words and CU on the bands ..
