[NLRS] 902 junk

Without a cavity filter in line, my  902 receiver appears to get desensed.    
For kicks, I put my freq  counter ahead of the cavity, essentially hooking it 
up direct to my 902 antenna,  and it dances around 623 to 625 MHz.   I 
measure the same after the  902 cavity filter and the counter can't find any signal 
to trigger on so it  reads 0000.    So, what is around 624 MHz ?   

PS:  I live in the big city.
