Hi Everyone How many of you have seen this new technology come onto the repeater spectrum its been out there for years now and its picking up speed.. Well its called D-star a coin that Icom calling the new digital technology to replace analog spectrum, just like cellular phones going from analog to digital. Okay its not like your cell phone its a different protocol. So the Minnesota repeater council is looking at using the 2 meter simplex portion for D-star. So the frequency block is 146.41 - 146.49 Tx with a 1 meg split 147.41 - 147.49 Rx. With 10KHz apart. To read up on this I a reference to the Repeat council proposal. Oh this means 146.460 we use for simplex around hear is going to be one of those channels. I know that Doug NØNAS is up on this far more then me on the D-star Technology not the repeater council work. See all of you this weekend. Dave NØKP
