Hi Jon,
Tnx again for the QSO on 902. It looks like I got the bugs worked out
on my transverter, so really looking forward to making noise on 902.
Have to get the CW working on my IF rig ;)
Again, the stats on my end: DEMI 902 transverter at 9.5 Watts (I built
from the kit). 4 foot Andrew solid dish with stock feed
(dipole/reflector feed) and a homebrew feed using a "loop Yagi" driven
element with a loop reflector out in front. I was set up in EN34vu
according to my GPS, so it looks like a 53 mile hop according to WinGrid
program. Not bad for having the dish center at about 3 feet AGL and
shooting into some trees and a house ;)
Your signals were between S1 and up to about S5, with fairly large QSB
swings between those levels. Even so, I never had any trouble hearing you.
