Hi again, Al.
I mis-read your e-mail a few minutes ago, and fortunately (!) someone caught my screw-up. I've been thinking about Aurora '07, and read your "Midwinter" as "Aurora." My bad.
However, the answer is basically the same: YES !
I'll be at the Northern Lights Radio Society (NLRS) club table. We'll meet and maybe find a quiet corner.
1) You HAVE READ all the ARRL Rules, etc., Right ?
2) You HAVE CURRENT copies of the paperwork, Right ?
3) SORT the cards by Field and grid.
4) Fill out the paperwork. (Don't forget your ARRL Membership number on the application. That's the most common error I see.)
5) Provide an envelope, addressed to ARRL, etc., (like in the instructions) to send the paperwork in.
a) If you have more than 5 sheets of paper (application, plus the Field Sheets), a normal #10 business envelope won't work; you'll need a 9x12 manila envelope.
b) Don't put a return address on the envelope... mine goes on it.
c) Make sure you include sufficient postage to get it there. A #10 will take at least 2 units of First Class postage. A manila envelope should be weight (with all the papers in it, of course, and the proper postage applied.
6) Don't forget a check made out to the ARRL for the fees.
7) It helps to have a few more than the 100 minimum required for the award. That way, if one of two get dis-allowed, you STILL can get your VUCC.
Questions, etc., please e-mail me at wa2voi (at) arrl.net

Will there be any VUCC card checking at Midwinter? I have enough for my initial 6m award and I was wondering if there would be someone there who can check these cards for me.
Danke!
