Thanks for coordinating this fun event Mr. No Hertz. To all NLRS members,
please give Earl your support.
Earl, I plan to be there at, or very close to, 7:30 AM with our NLRS check
for the table and our NLRS small banner. I would like to defer to others
for the closing. Regarding show & tell stuff, it would be good to have
just one dish system .... perhaps in combination with a second small
working system (?) ... to demo microwaves. I think last year we had
several. I have a few extra copies of the recent QST with the 10gig
contest write-up that I can bring & put on the table. I also plan on
bringing my FT897 that has the 222 transverter board inside of it for show
& tell at the table.
73, Jon

Here we go again! We again this year have a Club table for Midwinter
Madness. Midwinter Madness is coming up very soon!!! You can find
information for the hamfest at http://www.k0ltc.org/
The club as a group has shown by Jon's survey last year, decided that it
was
important for us to be visible and put on a show. It is important to have
lots of stuff to show and lots members at the table to show stuff and talk
up the upper bands and Aurora 2007. This is what makes a club look
interesting and involved and gets newcomers excited. Please carefully
consider helping out. There are still many people leading sheltered lives
thinking that there is no activity in the upper bands.
I am doing the scheduling thing the same Lucy-Goosey way as we did last
year
as we always seem to have a number of members show up. I will need two
people to help with set up and two to help with tear down. Other than that
I would ask that members make it a point to show up at the hamfest and help
at the table as they are able. 1/2, 1, 2hours or the entire morning if you
want. This is going to be a come and go as you please format. Remember,
this is your club and it is what you make of it. Please let me know what
areas list below that you can help in.
Opening (2 people)
Hamfest period (as many as can make it)
Closing (2 people)
