[NLRS] Off Topic - Ceiling Fan Troubleshooting

Hi Guys, sorry for the BW but I've got a ceiling fan that made a "zit" sound
in the switch housing unit under the blades the other day when I attempted
to turn it on after a thunderstorm.  The fan is totally inoperative now.
On inspection there appears to be a small transformer and a potted 5uF.
capacitor with 3 wires protruding (2 white and one black).  Any thoughts or
parts source?
