Hi all...
Picked up Charlie's (N0AKC) 10 GHz outfit tonight. Set it up out side
on my sidewalk and without knowing where the LO was and how to aim the
dish, I heard a fairly strong CW signal off the storm cell in Northern
MN. It was about S7 or S8. The station was just signing 73 and sent
the common "Shave and a haircut" string at the end of his transmission
so I don't know who it was (sorry!!)
Note to Charlie...I heard them at 144.149, so assuming they were on
10368.1, it looks like the LO is about 49 KHz low with about 15 minutes
of warmup. At least I'll have a starting point for this weekend! I
didn't have the proper adapters to allow TX...only RX tonight...
