Hello NLRS land.
Some prominent, but to be unnamed, South Mpls NLRS member put a bug in my ear
last week. How about a Directive Systems group order ? Indeed, why
not !
I sent a note to David Olean, K1WHS, to ask him if he has a club discount.
His
reply is attached below. The offer is much like the DEM group order
guidelines with one contact person, one group check, one drop address, etc.
So, being of sound body & spirit, I hereby volunteer to see if we can pull
together enough interest to submit a group order of antennas to Dave.
Directive Systems website with catalog can be found at
http://www.directivesystems.com/ , Dave manufactures antennas for 6m
through 10 GHz. All of his antennas are state of the art designs. Dave
also sells power splitters and phasing lines for stacking.
We would like to get any group order into Dave before the middle of
November when prices will take a hike, so we have about two weeks.
Please check out Dave's website and send me an email with the type(s) of
antennas that you are interested in. If we can get the required
minimum order I will give you a heads-up that the order is a go.
Ask questions if you have any.

NLRS Group Purchasing Agent
Hello Jon,
Yes, the discount would be in place for a large club order. I can give a
10% discount for loopers, whether a kit or assembled, and accessories
including power dividers, frames, cables. FO yagis will also have a 10%
discount, but be advised that most of the VHF yagis are going up in price
by
mid November by about 5-8 bucks apiece. Order fast for the old price.
Payment must be by club check, or money order. (No credit cards), and is
due
upon delivery, or in advance. The shipment and billing must be to one
contact person. I cannot drop ship to individuals for the club discount to
apply. You must order a minimum of ten antennas to receive the club
discount. You can mix loopers and yagis to get the 10 piece club minimum.
Also the club must be a real VHF radio club. (as NLRS is!) Generally this
works well in the winter when the pace slows abit. During the Summer months
