Well .... that was fun, huh. What a strange and wonderful contest. Of
course the talk of the contest will be the sporadic E on Saturday. That is as
hot as hot can be ! From the rover-lite mobile, running a horizontal
Hamstick at about 9 feet high, I ran about 50 station from EN24 while sitting on
50.323. Just amazing. Then I went down and ran another 20 or so on CW on
50.188. The CW pile-up reminded me of the Minnesota QSO Party when I would
enter a new county ! And oh, ya, a solid one hour plus 2m E opening to the
east coast.

In the end, I did cover all eight planned grids, all the equipment worked, I
got rained on several times ..... usually when I had to set up the 10 and 5.7
G stuff .... the warmest temperature was 63 degrees, no bugs and no visits
from any police this time. What a weird contest. My log is a shambles and
it will take some time to straighten up. I think I have about 550 QSOs.

I hope everyone had fun, lets here some scores and stories, mine to follow
in a few days.

73, Jon
