[NLRS] [Fwd: [222mhz] FWD: Proposed Changes for 220 Bandplan]

Why do the FM operators need additional bandwidth? From what I hear,
there are not too many people operating on 222 band repeaters. This may
not be true in larger urban areas, but the rest of the country uses
virtually no spectrum at 222. Currently, I see 21 repeaters listed in
WI that are on 222.

According to the Wisconsin Association of Repeaters, the 222 band plan is:

222.000 – 222.150 Weak Signal Modes (EME, CW, SSB, Beacons)

222.100 CW/SSB Calling Frequency

222.170 – 222.250 Repeater Control / Link (20 kHz spacing)

222.260 – 223.380 Repeater Inputs (20 kHz spacing)

223.400 – 223.580 FM Simplex / Packet (20 kHz spacing)

223.500 National Calling Frequency

223.610 - 223.850 Links and Control (20 kHz spacing)

223.860 - 224.980 FM Repeater Outputs (20 kHz spacing)

From 222.170 to the end of the band is for FM type modes. All we weak
signal guys get is 170 KHz of the band.

My 2.5 cents worth! I'm all in favor of discussing this at Central States!
