Over the holidays I gave a presentation at the Lincoln Amateur Radio
Club on rain scatter, and there seems to be some growning interest down
there. I just wish I could be there to lead the charge. More
immediately, several club members are getting together at KT0K's place
in north central EN10 for the VHF contest. It looks like a 6 and 2
effort, possibly 432 also depending upon the gear they get together. I
think for many of them this is going to be their first stint in to VHF
contesting, and the more QSOs the better. That part of Nebraska could
really use some VHF revitalization. A good contest experience would do
wonders...
Also, I put a good word in for the Conference in July. It looks like
several people are hooked...its very helpful if you remind them that it
is a family affair--most folks haven't thought about vacation quite yet!
