Well, I'm facing the fact that I'm not getting back on WSVHF and the last part
of my shack linking me to my much enjoyed past is my amplifier. It is based upon
the GS35B Russian Triode, utilizing a cavity tank circuit. The power supply for
it is the pedestal from a Henry 3K Classic-X. It has the Peter Dahl Hypersil HV
transformer and delivers 4KV at 1A. This is a "split mount" setup. The pedestal
sits beneath the desk and the deck sits on top, though it could be tucked away
also once tuned for your antenna. The deck is at best odd looking, being more
vertical than horizontal. It has the Grid and Plate current meters from the
Henry amplifier on it. Though it certainly is not "pretty", it makes up for that
by being built like a brick crapper. The cavity is silver plated copper and
brass, with a teflon sleeve chimney. Once tuned, it's pretty much turn it on and
let it rip. 30W of drive will deliver 1KW output continuous duty, but it takes
about 60W to drive to legal limit. It has a Dayton centrifugal blower. It run
off of 220-240V. The triode in it is fairly new and I have a second, totally new
spare one I got from Mark Brown. It pains me to see it sitting there, idle and
I'd deliver it in the greater Twin Cities metropolitan area. If you have a 220
drop in the shack and a big enough Bird element, I can demo it before you choose
to take it.

Though I have a lot of dough sunk into it, I'd take $500 for it, if for no other
reason than to see it back in service. Heck, you could throw away the deck and
the two triodes and Henry P.S. would be worth that much.

This is not a "show dog" amplifier and probably not for the "appliance operator"
out there. It is a reliable "work-horse" amp suitable for EME or contesting
where high duty cycle is involved. If interested, contact me by return email.
Believe me, it's not something you want to pay to ship. The Henry P.S. is a
"ball buster".

Thanks, 73 and Happy Holidays

John, K0PW
