Hello NLRS land.

This email is directed to all those who are interested in 10 gigs and up.
The first weekend of the ARRL 10 GHz & Up contest next weekend, August 19 &
20. The second weekend is a month later .... this email is in reference to
ONLY the first weekend.

Our group activity is open to ALL those who have 10gigs and to ALL those who
are interested in trying 10 gigs. There are several 10 gig units around
that can be loaned out, so if you are interested, drop me a note and I will see
what I can do. If you have 10 gigs, consider coming out to play with
either our fixed or rover group.

Here is Rev A of the plan .... expect updates:

CONCEPT: One fixed site located close to the Cities working one rover pack
moving through southwest and south central MN in the 170 to 220 km range.
The emphasis will be on many rapid fire SSB QSOs with upwards of 15 rover
stops per day. If conditions are poor, the rover pack moves closer, etc. We
will be using 10368.100 SSB only.

FIXED SITE DATA:
Saturday will be the church just located east of Lonsdale. Sunday is
tentatively planned to be Buck Hill (ZQ is checking on availability). List of
stations that will operate from the fixed sites are: N0KP, W0AUS, WA0SSN,
KC0P/N0HZO, W0GHZ, K0FQA, W0JT (Sunday only ?), WB0VHF/KC0IJB, W0ZQ, KD0JI,
K0KFC, W0LCP.
    W0ZQ 952-836-7288
    N0KP 612-720-0009
    W0GHZ 651-442-2381
Local comm as needed on 146.46

ROVER PACK DATA:
Starting location is Granite Falls. Exact route TBD, but generally along
the Buffalo ridge, moving closer if conditions are poor, etc. Some rovers
may wish to head out to Granite Falls Friday night. List of rovers is
WA2VOI, N0UK, KC0IYT, WB0LJC, W9FZ. We are REALLY looking for a few more stations
to join the roverpack. Rovers, please communicate with W9FZ, WA2VOI, and
WB0LJC for transport (ride sharing) and room reservations. I will leave
the rover pack organizational details to the rovers themselves.
    W9FZ 651-491-1077
    N0UK 612-619-4070

START/STOP TIMES:
Saturday - 7:00 am to 7:00 pm
Sunday - 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Possibly later as individuals wish to work
the rovers on the way home.

PLEASE FEEL FREE to comment on this draft plan. Time is fairly short. If
I have forgotten anyone, my apologizes in advance, but please step forward
.... I'm still a bit dazzed from CSVHFS and Rovermania III. I will update
this plan as changes come to me.

73, Jon
W0ZQ
