[NLRS] DEM 8w 10 gig amp questions

I have Tony's 2w DEM transverter with a DEM 8w  amp running.   The spec on 
the amp says that the monitor voltage is  1.0 +/- 0.1 vdc for 6 watts out.   I 
can run his up to about 1.50 vdc  by adjusting the DEM transverter IF input 
drive.   Is this about what  others are seeing as monitor voltage from their 8w 
amp when its at top  output ?    Is it possible to overdrive the amp with the 
DEMI 2  watt transverter ..... I suspect not.
