Early this afternoon, I discovered that the Logs Received report for
September is now "Final" (with 'all paper and electronic submissions')
so here's my "Final" analysis for this year's September event.

The final count of entries for the 2005 September VHF QSO Party is 631
with 317 of the logs listing a Club Affiliation (continuing the "trend"
of about 1/2 the logs listing Club names), but only 267 of those 317
were with clubs where at least 3 calls were associated with the Club
(the league's 'minimum' count for a club to be listed).

Looking at counts of entries by club, the Badger Contesters climbed into
2nd Place with 27, just sneaking ahead the 26 from the Packrats and only
4 behind PVRC's top count of 31. The NEWS Group is in 4th with 21
entries and NLRS ended up in a tie for 5th place, matching the 19
entries from Contest Club Ontario. The Pacific Northwest VHF Society is
7th with 18 entries, followed by two more "Midwest" clubs, the Society
of Midwest Contesters with 16 and the Chippewa Valley VHF Society with
10.

The Club Aggregate Score Totals look like they will be about the same as
my initial analysis from the 'electronic only' logs. PVRC remains on top
with 3.8 Million, the NEWS Group in 2nd and Packrats in 3rd. Contest
Club Ontario looks like they will be in 4th, followed by the Rochester
VHF Group (5th) and the Society of Midwest Contesters (6th). Since I'm
pretty sure the Mt. Frank Contesters will be in the Local Club class
(and on top of that class), that should put the Badger Contesters in 7th
place and NLRS in 10th (possibly 9th if the Carolina DX Association ends
up in the Local Club class). Similarly, it looks like 14th place for the
Chippewa Valley VHF Society (and possibly 13th if the Carolina DX Assoc.
is in "local").

The counts by Entry Category are now 350 SOLP (A), 136 SOHP (B), 63
Rovers (R), 34 Limited-Multi (L), 29 Unlimited-Multi (M) and 19
SO-QRP/Portable (Q).

Great job by everyone! Look for the QST Report (which will be authored
by Jeff, K1TEO) in the March 2006 issue and available on the web some
time in February (*possibly* as early as mid-January).

73, JK
