[NLRS] HTX-100 Mod

I'm trying to do the HTX-100 low level output mod from the DEM website
for a friend. Step 3 says, in part

....Lift C74 from the circuit. At its output side......solder the center
conductor of a piece of small coax.......This leaves the capacitor in
the circuit......

I'm confused. If the capacitor is lifted, how does it remain in the
circuit? Should I lift the end that goes to the base of Q501 and connect
it to the coax center conductor?
