Hi all,

As for June, its still a bit up in the air. I am doing some station
improvements here and need to lay the towers down in the next week. Im
pretty sure I will have the 50 MHz thru 3456 MHz tower back up by then, but
I am having trouble with my 3456 MHz amp which I need to start trouble
shooting, which is mast mounted on that tower.

As for Tower 2 with the 5 and 10 GHz on it, that has lots of work to
do....Im adding 24 GHz to the tower, a new rotor, guying, IF and control
cables. Also will be integrating local OCXOs to the 5 and 10 GHz boxes (and
24 GHz for that matter), so Its hard to say.

The bands for 902 thru 24 GHz are not readily availble right now as I am
finalizing my SDR-1000 IF radio for driving all this buisness. Software
control from the SDR-1000 is coming soon to enable the control of all the
microwave transverters - i.e. PTT routing and IF relay control. That is a
major issue and is ready to go, just waiting on Flex-Radio to finish the
code. We are fairly certain that it will get done for June, but August UHF
is a for sure is what I am told. All the hardware is done and working
great. It wont take long to lash up everthing and get it running once the
control software is done.

Over last weekend I integrated a rubidium 10 MHz frequency source to my
SDR-1000 IF radio. Man does that work great! That in conjunction with the
OCXOs for the high bands will make things rock solid. No more
wondering....However, parts I am in need of for integrating the 24 GHz OCXOs
are stuck in customs somewhere as I got them from EU, so that is also a
major stumbling block....uhg!

All this effort will be to be ready for Rover Mania II. However, I hope to
be able to test in the June contest, but cant say for sure if it all will be
ready for June.

I will try to keep you all posted. I will also be working on some loaner
equipment for August UHF...I started to burn the candle at both ends this
week, the wick is starting to get short already! Looking for replacement
candles!
