Hello BC'ers, CVVHF'ers and NLRS'ers
I'm asking any/all of you if there would be any interest in trying to rustle
up some sort of 432 roundtable or net or scheduled activity time??
In the next month or so, I should have a 2nd set of 432 antennas on
the new tower for 902, 1296 and 2304 that I'm going to be getting up.
This leads me to wonder if anyone else has ever heard of a 432
net/activity hour/whatever-you-want-to-call-it.
With the ability to listen in two different directions on 432, perhaps I
could start something like that up. But I'd want to see a show of support.
If there's interest or even just mild curiosity, let's toss it around. Perhaps
reply to the list and me personally, so folks can see things evolve.
For what it's worth, I have stacked 25 els up at 100 and 105'. I run a
IC-910H with about 60 watts out. When the new tower goes up, I will have
a single 19 el up about 70', with an ARR preamp and a little RF concepts
brick that should put out about 125 watts. Good horizon in all directions
here and usually have little problem working well into MI, ILL, IA, IN and a
little bit of OH.
Scheduled activity could well yield some tasty surprises...
Who wants to hear more?
73,
Todd KC9BQA
