Hi all;

Sorry that I have not posted earlier in the week, I have had a nasty
bout with the flu, which I am now just recovered from.

June contest results in detail will be posted in a couple days, I
sometimes *note* some partial QSOs or questionable contacts, which have
to be edited before the final log submission is made. Due to a family
obligation this year, I could not operate on Sunday after about 10 AM,
so I knew I would not be posting a great score. As it turns out, this
cost big time, as I missed most of the AU. I did catch wind of the AU
while out of town, so was able to modify plans slightly and rush back
home and did manage to catch about the last hour of the opening. To add
insult to injury, we had thunderstorms move through our area on
Saturday, and one of them sneaked up on me, with a sudden lightning
strike landing on the power pole in my backyard. This knocked 1296
almost out completely, as well as 903, and one of my preamps in the 6
meter station. (FT1000/FTV1000)

I managed to just break 50 K in score, and am still assessing damage due
to lightning. I have to agree with Todd, as I heard several in EN34/35
area call in on bruce's liason of 144.240 quite Q5, but could not get
their attention to turn to the south and QSY. The thought of 'dragging
your feet' sure makes sense.

I doubt that I will be able to make the UHF contest. The last several
years, that date has either been to close to CSVHF, and missed when I
tacked on vacation to the trip to the conference, or it has been close
to the date of the IEEE EMC symposium, and missed due to vacation added
on to that trip. This year, I will probably be in Chicago that weekend,
at meetings/seminars/ect.

Score details to follow, and I urge all BCers who participated to post
their results here, and don't forget your club affiliation on your logs.
