[NLRS] Big States Above push for 2006

The CSVHFS started the States Above 50MHz Program as a continual motivator
for activity on our VHF and up bands.  The program was launched in
1995-1996 which culminated in the 30th Anniversary conference here in the
Twin Cities in 1996.  Participation that first year was the highest ever at
48 participants.  Since then, it's gone 14, 14, 14, 18, 29, 39, 32, and 36.
The jump up into the 30's was precipitated by the NLRS using the program as
an active motivator for activity within the regino.

So, it just dawned on me that the 2005-2006 program year has begun.  I
think a reasonable goal is to have more nationwide participation than the
inaugural year.  One way to achieve that is by having participation in our
region higher than ever.  So, I challenge all NLRS reflector readers to
earn 30 or more band-states and earn a States Above 50MHz Program
certificate this year.  Begin your quest now!  Remember, no QSL's are
required--just your best efforts at determining the other operator's
"state".

While I've been program administrator for the past several years, I vow to
participate this year.  You should too!
