Hi Again. Well the Blizzard contest is History. It was not a
good contest as far as conditions. 8 plus inches of snow and winds of 50
plus to move it around. I don't blame are rovers to stay home after that,
to go with that the bands was flat. It was a struggle to just work
contacts on the lower bands, then try the upper bands it was a fight. But
it was a surprise to see some new faces on the bands like Bryce KI0LE from
Duluth. it was the first time to work 432 and 1296 from up there. Keep
going Bryce and all the Q's from EN13 KA0BZV, KM0T, WB0HHM and K0DD.
This time I left the 5 and 10 GHz dish on the ground the tower had to much
ice on it, in fact the loppers had to be Deice around the drive elements a
long pipe and a paint stripper gun did the job. Can we move this contest to
May and fill in the Cabin fever with sprints contest instead. A Big Thanks
for those that enter the contest. Compared to last year I had over 300 Q's
and thats was do to are Rovers. WE need them here. TURN IN THOSE LOGs
