Kris,

Switching the RF and PTT is pretty straightforward...just need to select a
method before you proceed.

One way I have done it is via an RF relay and an AV switchbox. The AV
switchbox controls the position of the RF relay and also routes the PTT
signal. Been working well for years now. One just needs to find the right
relay before you get started. Thats the key.

Here is a URL on my site that describes my first setups...

There is a bit more on this link...

http://www.km0t.com/pages/june2001.htm

and some more here...

You will have to dig around on those links to find the IF switches - the
pictures should get you to where the appropriate text is.

As far as interfacing the 756 ProII - there is a link on the site that shows
how I did it, your mileage my vary..

http://www.km0t.com/pages/sept2002.htm

I also have a power point presentation around here somewhere that if its not
too big, could be emailed, otherwise I can cut a CD and send it to you.

It might indeed be on the NLRS site, as John might have posted it as I did a
presentation on IF switches for Aurora one year....let me check first...

Ah yes, its all on the NLRS site (thanks John!) One can view the individual
slides or download the entire power point...its URL is here...

Any questions, give me a call or email!

Good luck Kris!

Subject: [NLRS] TRANSVERTERS

Looking for help on interfacing transverters with a 756ProII. Looking to get
432, 222, and 2 interfaced on this rig.

I know I can order the transverters from downeast rig ready for this radio
but, I need help with rf/ptt switching.

How can I switch the transverter tx/rcv, ptt/amp, and key from one
transverter to another with little hassle?

Currently I have choice of my ic-910h for 432/2 and my ic-275h for 2 meters.
Is there really a performance difference in these bands with transverters
compares to what I run now?

At this time I express no interest in anything beyond 432.

Any help much appreciated,
